Feltsmith
The short version: Feltsmith works entirely on your phone. There is no account, the app doesn't connect to any server of ours, and we don't collect usage statistics or show adverts. We can't see the hands you play, your progress or your stats.
Who we are
Feltsmith is made by JJENGINEERING SPECIALISTS LIMITED (company number 16153913, registered in England and Wales), registered office 132 Cooks Close, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 0BB. In this policy "we" and "us" mean that company. You can contact us at support@feltsmith.co.uk.
What stays on your phone
As you use Feltsmith it keeps the hands you've played, your drill answers, the spots due to come back, your level, streak, play-style titles, credits, saved tables, stats and settings. All of it is stored in the app's own storage on your phone and used only by the app. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Feltsmith doesn't ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
The first time you open the app it asks you to confirm that you're 18 or over. Only the fact that you confirmed is stored, on your phone.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, reminders (such as the one before your free trial ends) are scheduled on your phone itself. No notification service of ours is involved. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
Subscriptions
Feltsmith Pro+ is bought through the Apple App Store (and later Google Play). Apple or Google takes the payment and handles your payment details under their own privacy policies. The app receives a signed record that you have an active subscription, checked on your phone. We don't receive your name, email address or card details.
What we collect
Nothing from the app itself. Apple and Google give app makers anonymous, combined figures such as numbers of downloads and, if you've agreed to share analytics with them, crash reports. These don't identify you and come from Apple's and Google's own systems under their terms.
If you email us, we use your email address and what you write only to reply and help you, and we keep the conversation for up to two years, unless it relates to a legal claim.
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical details any website receives (such as your IP address) to deliver pages and protect against attacks. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to send them.
Our legal basis
Because the app's information stays on your phone, we don't process it. For support emails, our basis under UK data protection law is our legitimate interest in answering you.
Keeping or deleting your information
Your information stays on your phone until you delete it. Deleting Feltsmith removes everything it has stored. If your phone is backed up to iCloud or a computer, that backup may include Feltsmith's data until the backup itself is replaced or deleted.
Age
Feltsmith is for adults aged 18 and over. It isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly receive information from them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct and delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to how we use it. As we hold none from the app, this usually means support emails. Contact us at support@feltsmith.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If Feltsmith starts handling information differently, we'll update this policy and the date above before the change, and tell you in the app if it matters.
